Happy new year everyone.... We had a fabulous night... She slept from 10 to 3am, then 4 to 10am... She had labs done again to check her glucose and sodium... Her glucose was low and they were hoping that it was because she went so long without eating, but it didn't seem to be the case... She has had to be pricked before every feeding to check on it, and it has been low all day except at the 6pm feeding, it was finally normal... She has to be pricked her next to feedings just to make sure it stays normal..since getting her sodium supplements, her sodium has been normal... So we might try to ween her off of them... Her urine concentration has come down, meaning she is concentrating a little better than she was, but it's still high... They are thinking that the proximal tubule (which is the part of the kidney that filters) is not all the way formed, which we have to talk to genetics more about that... She has done good on the new formula (enfamil lipal), it's to soon to tell if that is helping her urine output... Her weight this morning was back up to 8.8 ( which was a 3 oz gain), but then tonight, she dropped down to 8.6... The only other thing that happened today was her hearing test, but the computer kept malfunctioning , and after 30 minutes of trying Madison was done.. So we will attempt again on Friday... She has stumped everyone so far... But they are working hard and I love how the doctors come in more than once a day...
